Authorial dolls at Yerevan history museum
At the exhibition hall of Yerevan history museum an exhibition was opened entitled “Doll stories”, where a doll is represented as a phenomenon of various genres. Hand made dolls having artistic value, Armenian ritual dolls, actor-dolls, as well as Soviet years mass production dolls , which were given by Yerevan residents for the exhibition, are represented at “Doll stories” from museum’s and private collections. The oldest dolls of the exhibition are from Yerevan city history museum collection- 100-year-old dolls authored by Armenian Sofya Akhsharumova and the 1990s porcelain dolls of German “Armand Marcel” firm production. Puppeteers, whose works are exhibited, as well as people, who showed the most swift-handed movements of the dolls to the children, were present at the exhibition. The exhibition of dolls is open until February 11.
