I do not plan to initiate such a meeting, Robert Kocharyan says about his poosible meeting with Serzh Sargsyan
In reply to a question of Yerevan-based Tert.am news agency whether he plans to meet Serzh Sargsyan following the example of first President Levon Ter-Petrosyan, Armenia’s second President Robert Kocharyan said, “I do not plan to initiate such a meeting. Considering the recent events and the experience with gained at a high price, I think it is much more important to solve other priorities, such as providing the army with modern weapons, quickly starting combat and tactical training for military personnel and adapting them to new conditions,” Robert Kocharyan said. On April 9, Serzh Sargsyan met with opposition leader and former President Levon Ter-Petrosyan to discuss Armenia’s response to the escalation of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Sargsyan personally visited Ter-Petrosyan’s private residence in Yerevan and to him for about an hour.
