MoH: Children injured in bus blast came to consciousness

As a result of bus blast, which occurred on Halabyan Street late on Monday, seven wounded citizens are receiving treatment in “Armenia” republican medical center, one of whom was transferred to the medical center as of 04:00 in the morning. The 62-year-old woman claims that she was also injured in bus blast. The woman noted that she had left the scene on her own, but later she called an ambulance as her health condition deteriorated and she was transferred to the medical center. Her identity is being clarified by the law enforcement bodies. As of 10:00 in the morning the health condition of the all wounded is stable. The medical treatment of the wounded is coordinated directly by the RA Minister of Health Armen Muradyan, who supervised all the activities on the scene a few minutes after the incident, necessary examination has been carried out. The Minister periodically convenes consultations with the leading specialists of the republic in order to assess the health condition of the injured. The health condition of 14- and 15-year-old children has bettered. As a result of surgery, the doctors managed to maintain the limb of one of the children. After the examination, the health condition of the children is assessed as critical but stable. Both of them came to consciousness, but one of them is still breathing with the help of artificial respiration. According to the doctor, later the children should undergo rehabilitation and double plastic surgery. Other patients have fractures and shrapnel wounds. Their health condition is satisfactory; they are under constant supervision of doctors. One of the injured is 37-year-old pregnant woman, whose life and the developing fetus are safe. She is under supervision of Razmik Abrahamyan, the RA MoH Chief Obstetrician-gynecologist. The patients are provided with all the necessary medications and medial items.
