Lars checkpoint to be opened for all vehicles for 5 hours
All roads in Armenia were trafficable as of 3.00 p.m., this according to the Ministry of Emergency Situations. The Emergency Situations Department of the Interior Ministry of Georgia reports that the Upper Lars checkpoint is temporarily closed due to mudflows. All vehicles stranded at the checkpoint can continue their way on ferries from the ports of Poti and Batumi. The Georgia side also reports that Lars will be opened for all types of vehicles from 15.30 to 20.00 on July 6.
