Hrachya Tamrazyan passes away at 63
Hrachya Tamrazyan, Director of the Mesrop Mashtots Institute of Ancient Manuscripts (Matenadaran) died on Sept. 3 after a long illness. He was born on December 5, 1953. He left Secondary School named after Krupskaya in 1971. In 1976, he graduated from the Faculty of Philology of Yerevan State University. The following year, he began to work at the Matenadaran first as a senior lab assistant, then as a junior and senior researcher. Tamrazyan wrote numerous monographs and scientific articles and studies and was also known as a poet and translator.
