Ashot Melikyan: We prepared statement on violence against Journalists (video)
Chairman of the Committee to Protect Freedom of Speech Ashot Melikyan and media expert Gegham Vardanyan referred to the municipal elections in Yerevan and activity of the media. Ashot Melikyan says they expected ‘calmer’ elections this time but they have received two reports of violence and intimidation against reporters and news outlets and four reports of physical violence.
