Second anniversary of April four-day war marks today

On April 1, the night of April 2, 2016, large-scale operations were launched along the contact line of the Artsakh Republic Defense Army and the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The most fierce battles were made in the southern (Hadrut) and Northeast (Martakert) directions. The Azerbaijani side used almost all types of military equipment in its arsenal during large-scale offensive operations. During the four-day was, the Armenian and Azerbaijani sides had serious losses in the personnel of the Armed Forces and military equipment. The Armenian side also had victims among the civilian population, including one child (two more were injured). During the April 2-5 combat operations, the loss of the Armenian side amounted to 64 soldiers, 13 volunteers, 4 civilians (81 loosses) and more than 120 wounded (9 more soldiers died until April 13 after the ceasefire, some died later in hospitals).
