GOVERNMENT TRYING TO WIN PEOPLE’S CONFIDENCE
Support A1+!On the threshold of parliamentary elections, Republicans-led Armenian government should have at least remote resemblance to the structure the party presents in its election campaign. Electorate is constantly being told that the republic authorities have successfully solved salary-payment debt problem.
Today, on parliamentary election footing, the government decided to prove it by making a decision that is already considered as unprecedented. The republic leadership’s readiness to pay the debts accumulated for years was a surprising fact to many, as few could guess that the government burdened with huge debts has sufficient capability to get rid of them.
The government announced about its intention to repay 5-billion-dram debt, however, without taking into account past years’ inflation.
