WILL BREAD RISE IN PRICE?
Support A1+!Parliament postponed discussion of the issue on making amendments to the Law on applying the cash registers and credits for 15 days.
2004’ project on Monetary and Credit Policy of Central Bank was introduced. CB Chair Tigran Sargssyan said that all the positive lines in economy are taken into account in that project. The riskiest point for the program is the issue of bakery price.
Sargssyan mainly talked about price rise last year. He stated in his speech that there’s forecast saying grain harvest will be bountiful in Russia in 2004. He also said that inflation is as well possible in 2004.
CB Chair said that Armenia imports grain both from Russia and USA and corn production is reduced all over the world. In grain-producing states corn is consumed as much as manufactured. So grain decreases in reserves. That’s why price rise is probable.
Investment rise, $ 80 million, is expected in 2004, too. It is more by 20 % than last year. CB Chair foresees progress in all the spheres of economy.
