A STEP TO THE CLOSING OF NUCLEAR POWER STATION
Support A1+!«The development of Hydro Electric Power Stations will reduce the necessity of the Nuclear Power Station», announced today Larry Good, the representative of the Improvement enhancing and Power Safety securing program in Armenia during the conference about the development of Micro Power Station development.
According to him, from the economic and financial point of view much money can be saved by means of micro Hydro Electric Power Stations, as investing a starting sum, one can have the possibility of using almost free power, «The production of power by means of micro stations does not demand fuel as the fuel is the water coming from the mountains which is so abundant in Armenia». According to Mr. Good, the other advantage of the Micro Stations is that the investor gradually becomes independent from the local power net.
According to Hakob Dingchyan, expert of the «PA Consulting Group», today in Armenia there are already several micro station but it is too early to speak about positive results, «The system has serious problems both in the legislative field and with the local self-governing bodies».
