ARMENIAN DEPUTIES DO NOT LIVE WELL

Economy

«We vote for you, we make you Ministers, and you do not think of us. How do we understand it? » participant of the Parliamentary hearings agronomist Mayis Haroutyunyan announced.

During the hearings about inflation in Armenia, he tried to find out when this transitional period will end. According to him, we have not had a Minister of Agriculture for the last 15 years. He wonders how it happens that one liter of mineral water is sold for 260 AMD and one kilo of grapes – only for 50 AMD. He also found it strange that irrigation water becomes more and more expensive, «Water comes from the mountains, and you do not build new canals».

Today's hearings revealed that the salary is not enough even for the deputies. Representative of the National Unity fraction Aghasi Arshakyan informed that although his salary was raised by 100% in 2003, it did not make things easier for his family. According to him, if his mother was able to take case of the house with 40 thousand AMD, now even 60 thousand is not enough.
