GAS PRICE WILL BE 65AMD PER A SQUARE METER

Today the government approved of the contract with the company “Gasprom” which foresees the subsidization of the gas increase price. The Energy Minister Armen Martirosyan declared at the briefing following the Government session that Russian side promised not to increase the gas price during the coming 3 years.
The Government foresees extra payment of 188 million USD for the increased price. The money will go to the state budget after the sell of the 5th block of Hrazdan Power and Energy station to “Gasprom”
The energy block is valued 248million USD which is 60 million higher the price foreseen for the extra payment. Alongside with all the above-mentioned points, the Russian side is to make investments of 150 -160 million USD in the Hrazdan Power and Energy station constructions. “They will reconstruct the station within 2 years, and we shall have a new gas turbine of 140 megawatt,” declared the Energy Minister and the Government representative negotiating with “Gasprom.”
There were questions about non implementation of the contract provisions and the gas price further increase. “It is a commercial contract, I cannot say many things but coarse measures will be taken in case they do not fulfill their responsibilities,” assured Armen Martirosyan. Now let us present numbers taken from the resolution of the Government members. 2500AMD per 100 square meters out of 90000AMD foreseen for the gas price users by the Committee regulating public services will be subsidized by the Executive body and the users which are mainly big companies will receive 52.01 USD per 1000 square and more meters usage from the Government. The Committee fixed the price of 146 USD for great users.
