Problems with Khachatur Soukiasyan emerged when he stood next to Levon Ter-Petrosyan”, said economist Eduard Aghajanov to “A1+”, then he added: “He did not have any problems before the latest occurrences and was considered a developing and successful business, but when he stood up and made some declarations, became the target of tax and other services. It is obvious that they are reckoning with Khachatur Soukiasyan in such way”.
The economist is confirmed that the authorities will use all legal and illegal levers to harm Khachatur Soukiasyan. “Our tax legislation is composed in a way that if you want you will definitely find something”. Then he explained: “The tax legislation allows various construes and it depends how the authorities interpret this or that article - in favor or in prejudice of Soukiasyan. The legislation allows each inspector to interpret it individually and this is the main reason of corruption in our country”.
According to him, no law undergoes an anti-corruption examination in Armenia: “In all countries tax or customs laws undergo anti-corruption examination. Unfortunately, we do not use similar practices in Armenia”.
