WILL ARMENIA HAVE GAS TOMORROW?

Economy

“The damaged section of the Georgian-Armenian pipeline has been repaired, and the supply of gas to Armenia will likely be restored by January 13,” Press Secretary of ArmRusGasArd Company Shushan Sardaryan said to A1+. The country has been using stored gas since January 9.

So far we have met consumers’ demands supplying 8.5 cubic meter gas a day. We appeared in much worse situations and were able to surmount the difficulties,” added Shushan Sardaryan.

Remind that the flow of gas to Armenia was terminated on January 9 because of a pipeline break in Georgia. The Gas and Transport Company of Georgia officially declared in the morning of January 9 that the supply of natural gas to Armenia was temporarily suspended because of reconstruction works on the Ghazakh-Saguramo gas pipeline.

ArmRusGasArd has sent a group of experts to Georgia to familiarize with the situation and provide assistance if necessary.
