JEWELRY EXPOSITION OPENS IN YEREVAN
Support A1+!For the first time in the jewelry exposition record opening of exhibition took place twice.
“Jewelry Art of 2002” exhibition started yesterday in Yerevan. However, because of Armenian president Robert Kocharyan absence from the country, the opening ribbon was cut today by him, as always. It is worth to be noticed that this time the ribbon was golden instead of traditional read.
It is this year’s fifth exposition. Besides, the 50 anniversary of jewelry factory will be marked in the course of the event. More than 30 enterprises of Armenia, Russia, France and Georgia are to present their productions within 4 days. The exhibition will also provide an opportunity to make cooperation agreements.
Comparing to 1990s, in 2001 production volume rose 2 to 3 times, country’s president says. According to his prediction, rapid development in the field of advanced technologies and chemical industry is also expected.
The president agreed to answer just few questions and only about the exposition. That’s why journalists failed to learn how he reacted to “Press Enemy” title awarded him by National Press Club.
