Support A1+!"By the end of 2004 quility of water-supply in Yerevan will be equal to that in civilized countries" ,- today promised the authorities of "Water-Supply and Sewerage" CJSC of Yerevan.
112 blocks of flats in Yerevan are already provided with water round-the-clock. The State Commitee of Water Economy of Armenia and "A Utility" Company elaborated a project for turning the water-supply sheduled system into a standing one.
The company's representatives announceed their revenue will decrease if the round-the-clock water supply.
By the way, the heads of "Water-Supply and Sewerage" are surprised at that people don't pay the fees for water, unlike those for telephone and electricity. At present, the debt by the population to "Water-Supply and Sewerage " makes 22 milliard drams . The debt won't be canceled, it is to be settled according to the shedule,- said Andranik Hovhannisyan, the company's chairman for commerce. He added the tenants' standpoints as well would be taken into consideration.
Irrespective of everything, the terms of the project for water-supply improvement will remain unchanged, says "Water-Supply and Sewerage". But the tenants of top-floors who are not provided with water for days, hardly believe this. Nevertheless, the heads of the company said this Summer there will be lack of water as usual.
