WHO TO SCORE DECISIVE GOAL - PARLIAMENTARY MAJORITY OR OPPOSITION
Support A1+!Armenian National Assembly’s session is suspended today for almost 3 hours. The thing is that the Parliament House’s power supply has been cut off and as a result of voltage fluctuation the electronic facility for voting got out of order just before the parliamentarians were going to discuss the bill on amendments to the Parliament Charter. Deprived of working conditions lawmakers were sitting in scantily-lit hall chatting and analysing situation. In MP Grigor Harutyunyan opinion, power was cut off deliberately, as the authorities reckon on gathering tomorrow larger amount of MPs, who support the amendments, which specify the penalties to be imposed on those obstructing session.
While lawmakers were chatting the second World Cup semi-final match between Brazil and Turkey began. They scattered to watch football. Though power supply has been restored before the match was over, the legislators didn’t manage to discuss the bill.
A fierce battle between parliamentary majority and opposition is expected at tomorrow session over the bill. Using football language parliamentary majority can be called “the favourite”. However, it is still unknown who will score a decisive goal.
