SUMMER CAMPS
Support A1+!In Nor Nork and Malatia Communities Araratyan Diocese had pitched yard camps for the children who couldn't have summer holiday . The aim of it was not only to divert children from the streets but also to keep them away from the sectarian movements thus pushing them closer to Apostolic Church. The children gathered according to the statement.
More than 30 children from 9 to 14 are on holiday in Nor Nork's Saint Sargis Church. They are taught singing, dancing as well as History of Armenian Apostolic Church and religion. They are also given candies at breaks.
More than 20 children were baptized in Saint Sargis Church. Clergymen said they faced indifferent attitude by the businessmen of the community when both making camps and baptizing the children . "We applied to the businessmen of Nork Community for finance support but were ignored. Luckily, there were many young people there who expressed their perfect willingness to help us" ,- said Clergyman Ter Hakob Khachatryan.
