Ashot Giziryan, the Head of Yerevan's Foreign Affairs Department who has beaten a MP , was favoured for service progress. He was appointed the Head for the 6-th Department . It's a republic structure unlike the town council, i. e., he was promoted and his status increased. If following the same logic, Ashot Giziryan will be granted a post of deputy minister if beats Parliament Speaker Armen Khachatryan .

Before Giziryan was appointed the Head for the 6-th Department, the post had held Armen Eritsyan, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs. At present he holds that post only. Aram Zakaryan was appointed the Head of Town Council.
