STANDPOINTS ON PUBLIC HEALTH SPHERE

Social

International institutions of public health, monitoring groups have come to the conclusion soviet system of public health is unproductive and demanding for expenditure. They concluded we were in the abyss and achieved something within 10 recent years only as a result of improvements
Mihran Nazaretyan, the head of the school for Public Health Management thinks the standpoint is wrong saying "we used to have a well-structured system" .

Mihran Nazaretyan was the first Minister of Public Health of independent Armenia and is the best to know the shortcomings and privileges of the system. He thinks the matter of grave importance for the present times is that what do people get from medical centers and what do they expect from them in the future? Is there any guarantee now (or 10 years ago) we will have good medical attendance? . But there is something beyond controversy - quality of medical aid needs to be improved now as before .

Mihran Nazaretyan is sure we don't have a non-falling-ill system, just on the contrary, we have all the conditions for that - air, foods, smoking, state of stress, unemployment, other kinds of harmful factors .

State can never provide health to the population, it can just somehow support cure process. Mihran Nazaretyan says healthy environment is to be established in the future .
