"The violence act against me is an encroachment upon free press" ,- Azniv Chizmechyan, the Executive Director of "Abovyan" TV Company says. At the conference in the Journalist House she told the incident details and threats Abovyan City Mayor Karo Israelyan addressed her: "You were to be killed and butchered instead of beaten. You must worry about 2 orphans of yours" . He said all these in the Internal Affairs Department of Abovyan City in the presence of law-enforcement bodies. After Chizmechyan had asked them to testify in written upon that they said they didn't see anything. They even made her not mention the Mayor's name in the testimony. She did the way they said - only 5 young men are mentioned in the testimony who burst in the TV Company building and beat the Chair.

Within the criminal case 4 out of the 5 young men were not called before the court to be examined, those "having seized the camera and the tape" . Azniv Chizmechyan wrote an application to the Minister of Internal Affairs but it was not answered yet. Such kind of attitude by Internal affairs system was not a surprise.

But the event later was much more cynical. "Lanj" TV Company of Abovyan City arranged a talk show. Those present (invited supporters of the Mayor) welcomed the fact the journalist was beaten .
