IN DEFENSE OF SPEECH FREEDOM
Support A1+!The Fund for Speech Freedom Support considers the violence acts to the founder and executive director of “Abovyan” TV Company as a part of the campaign against the regional TV Companies.
Vardan Harutyunyan, the Executive Director of the Fund says “ It’s a pre-election year and the Authorities do their best to cut out the information field the way they want. Other regional TV Companies are in danger of being attacked or shut down ”.
The Fund statement released says “The Authorities acting in the pre-election period want Armenia without impartial information. Campaign against free Mass Media and violence aim to turn Republic of Armenia into dictatorship and the Armenian people into a faceless mass that is able to vote as made and obey the will of princelings” .
Fund for Speech Freedom Support calls all the organizations interested to join and avert the danger to the achievement of 10 recent years, i.e., speech freedom.
