VERDICTS TO GUARANTEE AGAINST FALSIFICATION

Social

On March 14 the First Instance Court of Kentron, Nork-Marash Communes read out its verdict on the suit by Demirchyan’s proxy Ashot Sargssyan against CEC idleness.

Judge Pargev Ohanyan decided to drop the case, basing upon the fact that the final results of the first round for the presidential elections were published on February 25 and the suit was instituted on February 27. Consequently as results were summed up, it is considered as a debate over the results and Constitutional Court is to settle the problem.

Ashot Sargssyan said the suit is not on the results. Attitude of CEC and Divisional Electoral Committees to results was disputed. “I have appealed to Court to debate the issue of their stance to the results” , he says.

The proxy also finds it senseless to appeal to Review Court as, saying the same will happen there.

“If election irregularities and falsifications were planned, they were to be ensured, too and such verdicts are the best guarantee against them” , Mr Sargssyan said.
