On April 11, the International Day of Prisoners of War a measure in Erablur at a Monument of an Unknown Soldier, took place. Union for Missing Liberation Fighters of Armenia has arranged the measure.

Union Chair Rima Arakelyan said our sons continue suffering in Azeri prisons and that monument is somewhat of idea and not a cemetery.

Representatives of social organisations, families of missing soldiers, military structures took part in the event.

Defence Deputy Minister Michael Grigoryan stated state does its best to ease trouble of their families and occupied with fate of those missing.

Larissa Alaverdyan, Chairman of Fund on “Against Legal Violence” and member of Committee on Human Rights affiliated with Armenian president, informed searching for the missing ones never stops . But the attempts of the international organisations and thereof face resistance of the Azeri side, which never displays kind will.

“Is this a political problem or a humanitarian one?” , Larissa Alaverdyan poses, adding Azerbaijanians avoid setting up a joint committee on such issues.
