CONTRADICTIONS COMING TO LIGHT

Social

“How’s your memory?” , before examination judge Samvel Uzunyan asked case witness Lieutenant Colonel Misha Manucharyan, former commander of the regiment for protecting Home Affairs’ Ministry’ important establishments, who was dismissed after October 27 terror action.

The terror day Manucharyan was on leave, and came to Parliament to settle a personal problem. According to him, he had a 6-month-old grandson, and his finance to buy firewood to heat the flat was not enough.

Knowing that trees would be cut in Parliament park, he had come to ask for some wood. Under Manucharyan’s words, after seeing the economical department head together with company commander Gagik Hakobyan and settling the issue, he walked up to the Red Foyer, and Gagik Hakobyan took an envelop to Parliament Speaker’ reception.

In the foyer Manucharyan had seen Armenak Armenakyan speaking to Hakob Hakobyan, and Mushegh Movsisyan smoking. He also saw two strangers talking, “one of them tall and bald, another short, with a beard” .

By the witness’s words, he had come to the Red Hall before the Parliament session, stayed there for 15 minutes, but heard shots. Lieutenant Colonel assured that he hadn’t seen the terrorists entering the hall as the doors hadn’t been seen from the place he had sat - the columns closed the vision.

He didn’t even hear “Lie down!” command, which, as witness and former policeman Andranik Darbinyan said, the terrorists cried out and rushed into the hall. “Maybe, it was, but I didn’t hear. I was attentively listening to the MPs talking”, Manucharyan said. What Misha Manucharyan said before the Court completely runs counter to testimony of policemen Avetis Tashchyan and Andranik Darbinyan.

Demirchyans’ representative advocate Ashot Sargssyan solicited to confront the 3 witnesses. The trial will continue tomorrow.
