ONE MORE SURPRISE IN THE COURT
Support A1+!The ordinary unexpected event occurred during the trial over Tigran Naghdalyan’s murder case. Today’s petition of defendant Felix Arustamyan was quite unexpected after the sensational statement he made at the previous trial. He solicited the judges to provide him with an advocate.
It is to remind that Arsutamyan had had no advocate since the trial. Today he requested Hovik Arsenyan, Armen Sargssyan’s representative, to protect his interests. This kind of solicitation more surprised Prosecutor Zelim Tadevosyan.
Later Hovik Arsenyan asked the Court for 20 minutes’ break to deliberate with Arustamyan. Judge Saro Aramyan announced for a break. Prosecutor Zelim Tadevosyan said that Court had no right to make a decision without consulting with the parts. However, the trial was stopped.
After the break Hovik Arsenyan announced that he refused the suggestion to defend Felix Arustamyan since “by that step he would cast a shadow on reputation of an honest man” /meaning Armen Sargssyan/. Defendant Felix Arustamyan had to demand for another advocate, Liparit Simonyan. Defendant Grigor Petrosyan /Mzdr nicknamed/ declined Simonyan during one of the past sessions. Now advocate Lusntag Badalyan protects Grigor Petrosyan.
The trial will continue on September 9. By that time the issue over an advocate will be settled.
