IN A BID TO STOP BRUTALITY IN ARMENIAN ARMY
Support A1+!Young men serving in Armenian Armed Forces undergo violence and harassment by officers, said parents of the servicemen killed while fulfilling national military service today at Azdak Club.
Commanders treat soldiers in brutal way: beat and kill them with impunity, they said. They also said those committed murder remained unpunished because corruption and bribery flourished in the republic’s justice system, especially in army and Military Prosecutor’s Office.
Parents of the killed are sure Armenian Military Prosecutor Gagik Jangiryan must be brought to trial, as he is responsible for all crimes committed in military sphere and certain commanders in charge of the units where more than two soldiers were murdered must be dismissed.
They addressed their demands to President, National Assembly Speaker, Prosecutor General and Defense Minister. If their demands remain without answer they will be left with no option but to appeal to international organization, the victim parents said.
