5000 SICK REGISTERED IN THE COUNTRY
Support A1+!At Armenian Health Ministry request, Yerevan Municipality has today closed all the schools and kindergartens of Yerevan. As Taguhi Hakobyan, epidemiologist of Hygiene and Anti-Epidemic Department of Health Ministry assures, number of those ill with influenza and respiratory disease in the country makes 5000. 3000 of them are children.
Hakobyan says lessons in district schools may be stopped, too. Ararat District schools and kindergartens have already been closed.
Ara Asoyan, chief medical officer of Nork Infection Hospital says 22 people with flu and respiratory disease have been taken to hospital.
Ara Soghoyan, head of Municipality’ department of health and social welfare, says schools are closed till February 1. Under the official information, number of virus-carriers in schools makes 18.5%.
By Health Minister Vladimir Davidyants’ `order`, influenza prevention will be gratis.
