PROTEST AGAINST MASSIVE EVICTIONS
Support A1+!Northern Avenue tenants took to the streets on Thursday in a protest against compulsory driving Matevossyan and Asparyan families from their homes and in a bid to prevent massive evictions.
Matevossyans’ lawyer Karen Majlumyan says they haven’t even been given the court decision, only a written order without any legal justification. He is convinced if the court made such a decision, it did that under the authorities’ obvious pressure.
After their meeting with the head of Kentron district Gagik Beglaryan earlier this morning, which produced little effect, as court acts compulsory execution agents’ number even grew larger, they appealed to the municipality, where they demanded meeting with Mayor saying he is responsible for the situation.
Then protesters marched to the House of the Government.
