GOVERNMENT’S BILL PROMPTS PROTEST FROM STUDENTS

Social

Students of Yerevan State University came up with a statement Tuesday protesting Armenian government’s bill on military service.

Under the bill, adjournment given to students while they are studying in universities is repealed.

The students are convinced the bill-proposed changes will prevent students from obtaining qualification and lay grounds for corruption. After so long break in study, few will be able to continue what they began once, the statement says.

The protesters blame education minister for his unprincipled and shortsighted stance.
