ROAPWAY DIRECTOR STANDS TRIAL FOR CRUSH

First instance court of Center, Nork-Marash started Thursday hearings on a suit filed by those who become victims of the ropeway crush that happened in April, 2004, against the director of the Yerevan Rope-Way Company Grigor Janyan.

During the break, Janyan said he was opposed to the indictment. In his words, the crush occurred at the invisible section of the ropeway, which, as a rule, undergoes checking only once within six or twelve months while other sections are being checked every day.

The court session is continuing.
