After the 45-minute break announced by the first instance court of Center, Nork-Marash, today's trial of Yerevan Ropeway director Grigor Janyan being prosecuted in connection with ropeway crush continued.

The break was announced because of his lawyer’s absence from the courtroom. However, after the break the lawyer didn’t appear.

It became clear in the course of the hearing that on the very day of the crush the operator didn’t come to work because of health problems. The operator was replaced by Grigor Janyan himself.

It also became clear that the ropeway had been repaired every year, but experts said the alloy used for the repair was unfit for repair works and didn’t meet standards.

The accident victims’ attorneys demanded compensation.

The trial is postponed again because of some plaintiffs’ absence.

Grigor Jananyan will speak at the next session.
