Support A1+!”Protection of the environment is a worldwide value. It’s a problem to simplify the ecological mechanisms and to apply new criteria”, Armenian Ecology Minister Vardan Ayvazyan said at the 6th annual meeting held by Organization of Economic Development and Cooperation.
60 officials and experts of 18 states partake in the meeting. The aim of the meeting is to discuss the ecological programs of regional cooperation of Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia states.
Brendan Gillesti, head of Department for Non-member States of Organization of Economic Development and Cooperation, said the purpose of the organization is to assist CIS states, and the goal of the meeting is to acquaint the specialists of CIS and Armenia with each other.
”It’s an ecological peculiarity of Armenia that an attempt is made to use the resources. It can appear as a model for other countries to follow it. ”, he said.
The meeting will continue tomorrow.
