Support A1+!”Culture Minister Hovik Hoveyan advised the staff of Dance College to stop the strike since the newly-appointed director Karen Gevorgyan will no longer hold the post”. The news was spread today, through which an attempt is made to calm down the members of “strike committee” of the college.
Pedagogical, parental and student group of 500 people has set up the committee as a protest action against the decision of Hoveyan over nominating a new director for Dance College.
Culture Minister is in the Armenian delegation in China now. We tried to find out whether Minister had really made such a decision in China and addressed to the staff of the college. “We have no information like this”, Culture Ministry Press Secretary Gayane Durgaryan said.
”The staff of Dance College doesn’t believe such false and disorientating information”, college staff informed us.
The teachers assured they will keep striking until they see the decree on relief of Karen Gevorgyan and nomination of Norik Mehrabyan.
