WHITE GENOCIDE THREATENING RESIDENTS
Support A1+!“When are our authorities going to stop the white genocide against the residents? We cannot live calmly in our homeland”, Our Home Armenia party chairman Vachagan Chibukhchyan stated during a protest action held at the government building today. The residents of Yeznik Koghbatsi, Pavstos Byuzand, and Amiryan Streets demand re-consideration of the RA Government decrees.
February 25, 2005 on the bases of government decrees of 05.10.2001 and 01.08.2002, the Court of First Instance of Kentron and Nork Marash communities of Yerevan declared that the residents of 4/18 Amiryan Street should present their real estate certificates to the office engaged in implementation of investment programs on building up of Yerevan. One of the residents of the above mentioned house Gagik Sargsyan said that the government’s resolutions are groundless and there is only one reason for it. «The territories were sold, we are offered tiny compensations while the members of the office for program implementation are trying to execute the illegal resolutions of the government», he said.
“The compensation provides for $3500 per head. Consequently the families having many children will receive about $20 000. And how can we solve the problem if the flats are too expensive today?” one of Kond residents says.
One of the lawyers presenting the office, who preferred to remain anonymous, was present at the protest action. He assured that the activities of the office are legal and the houses will be assessed in accord with market prices.
To note, none of the government official received the protesters.
