CITIZENS COMPLAIN ABOUT YEREVAN POLICE
Support A1+!During the period of January 1 – November 1 the Armenian Human Rights Defender received over 2220 petitions and complaints, 1315 of them were in written form.
The number of complaints from regions makes 838, 504 of them – written.
The statistical data is as follows: 439 were accepted for consideration, in 173 cases the complainants were offered the possibility to protect rights and freedoms, 148 complaints were conveyed to other bodies, 483 (32 of them on the complainant’s will) were not considered, 72 are still under consideration.
The statistical data of the complaints presented in written form is the following: 174 complaints about the police, 133- about the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare, 146 – about the courts, 110 - about the Yerevan city administration, 108 – about the local self-government, 81- about the Prosecutor’s office, 78 – about the Justice Ministry, 57- about the Defense Ministry, 66 – about regional prefectures, 48- about the cadastres, 53 – on municipalities (without Yerevan), 41 – about the department of migration and refugees, 30- about state fund of social welfare, 19 – about the water-supply systems, 22 – about the Ministry of Science and Education, 15 – about the Ministry of Health, 9 - about the Ministry of trade and Economic Development, 12- about the Ministry of Transport and Communications, 8 – about the state tax service, 6 – about the Ministry of Town-Planning, 9 – about the government, 3 – about the Ministry of Energy, 3 – about the Ministry of Finance and Economy, 85 – about other bodies.
811 complaints were received from Yerevan, 97 – from Shirak and 96 – from Lori.
