PROBLEMS IN “ARMENTEL”
Support A1+!Two departments of “ArmenTel” have created a united strike committee. Today head of the committee Haroutyun Kharatyan announced that the executive director of “Informational Technologies” Kulogianis follows special policy to fire Armenian professionals and to appoint Greek specialists instead of them.
He even brought examples of actions by Mr. Kulogianis. According to him, on Sunday, when all the Armenian specialists were not at work, Mr. Kulogianis gathered togather the Greek specialists and ordered them to change crucial things in the net. The result of this would be numerous problems in the net and the subscribers of the “Easy Card” service would be unable to use their phones.
The Greek director hopes that he could blame the Armenian head of the department and his workers for the errors and fire them. But the workers learned about the conspiracy and worked the whole night in order to settle the problems.
Another example was that several women who were on maternity leave were illegally fired from work.
The united strike committee formed in ArmenTel demands to fire Mr. Kulogianis and represents several other demands. In case of their non-realization on November 17 at 10:00 a.m. their will go on strike.
