Support A1+!Today the case of Razmik Sargsyan (who has announced a 111-day hunger-strike), Arayik Zalyan and Musa Serobyan was heard in the Criminal and Military Court of Appeal by Judge Mher Armaghanyan. The boys are accused of the murder of Movses Mkrtoumyan and Roman Eghiazaryan. By the decision of the Court of First Instance they have been sentenced to 15 years of imprisonment.
The court room was full of people; not only relatives of the accused but also representatives of NGOs and other organizations were there. During the trial Razmik Sargsyan's mother fell into a faint and was helped by those present.
19-year-old Razmik Sargsyan was brought to the court room with difficulty, with the help of his 2 friends. During the trial he was not able even to raise his head, and he never opened his eyes.
Basing upon the November 15 conclusion of the experts the judge decided that Razmik Sargsyan is able to participate in the trial despite the fact that it was mentioned in the conclusion that Razmik Sargsyan has renounced the forensic examination.
The lawyers tried to persuade the judge that the boy is not able to sit and he needs medical aid. After those present at the hall joined in, the judge announced that the court session will be closed.
It is noteworthy that the parents of the victims are convinced that the accused are guilty of the murder.
The trial will continue tomorrow at 11:00 a.m.
