«BAZE» IS THE START OF A CAREER

Tonight the official closing ceremony of the «Baze Winter-2006» will take place. 350 young people participated in the pan-Armenian youth gathering for seven days in the Tsakhkadzor Olympic sport base. The participants are young people from Armenia, Artsakh, Javakhq and the Diaspora who also participate in intellectuals, cultural and sport competitions alongside with having holidays.
The young people organized discussions with three themes – the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, the cultural Genocide, and the destruction of the Old Julfa cultural values. They have made an announcement about the latter which they are going to hand to all the Embassies and Ministries in Armenia.
It is the second time the head of the Yerevan State Polytechnic Institute Students’ Council Koryun Vardanyan has participated in the gathering. “The first time it was in Yerevan. It was not as interesting as this time. Besides, in my case this is part of the formation of my career”.
Another student from the Yerevan State University, Emil Mirzoyan, is of a different opinion, “They have spent 40 million AMD on this initiative. There are so many other places where the sum could have been spent. I myself have come here to spend my holidays and, why not, also to win”.
