HUNGER-STRIKE TEMPORARILY STOPPED
Support A1+!The residents of the Buzand street Nuneh Varduni, Susanna Poghosyan and Smbat Melqonyan who had gone on a hunger strike opposite the office of the RA Ombudsman stopped their strike on Friday.
The reason is the written answer of the Ombudsman to the applications of the strikers. According to the letter, Armen Haroutyunyan has accepted that the 218th article of the RA Civic Code contradicts the RA Constitution. The Ombudsman has applied to the Constitutional Court. “He suggested that we should wait until March 21 when the case will be heard in the Constitutional Court”, Nuneh Varduni says.
By the way, the residents of the Buzand street have stopped the hunger strike temporarily. Their further steps will depend on the decision of the Constitutional Court.
