MEMBERS OF AYU DONATED BLOOD

Over 60 young people donated their blood today. Following the motto “Our blood is life for others” more than 60 members of the Armenian Youth Union of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (AYU) donated marrow in the charity fund «Marrow Donors Armenian Register».

The action was devoted to the memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide. It is noteworthy that the members of the Union first registered in 2003, on April 2003, during the march with torches, with the aim of donating blood, and since then they have been trying to follow the tradition. “Nobody’s life is insured from illnesses, and if we manage to save at least someone’s life, we will be content”, the members of the Union mentioned.

Today they donated 3-4 liters of blood.

Since the day of its creation 10 000 donors have been registered in the fund. There have been 5 transplantations in Poland, California and Italy, and two more in Germany.
