TURKEY NEEDS AZERIS KNOWING ARMENIAN
Support A1+!Turkish historians are going to learn Armenian to study the documents stored in the archives of foreign countries, head of History department of Turkey informed APA agency.
He noted that while studying the documents of foreign archives, the Turkish historians are denied access to Armenian documents. There is only one scientist in Turkey knowing Armenian. His name is Birsan Gharajan and he is a professor of Istanbul University.
After Turkish parliament has passed legislative amendments (under which foreign specialists will be invited to the country), Turkey will invite specialists of the Armenian language from Azerbaijan and the Republic of Nagorno Karabakh. The specialists will give lessons to the Turkish historians who will be able to study Armenian documents after mastering the language.
