CATHOLICOS BLESSED PILGRIMS

Catholicos Garegin II, Supreme Hierarch of the Armenian Apostolic Church, received pilgrims from France headed by Joseph Medek Bishop, Head of the Tulon Diocese of the Roman-Catholic Church in France.

During the meeting Joseph Bishop expressed his gratitude to the All Armenian Catholicos for the meeting opportunity and introduced the pilgrims: “We have arrived to get acquainted with the ancient sacred, to visit Armenian churches and monasteries, to get better acquainted with the Armenian culture and history”, mentioned Medek Bishop.

In his speech, the All Armenian Catholicos Garegin II presented the pilgrims some details from the Armenian history, reflected on the mission of St. Echmiadzin Cathedral in Armenians’ lives.

The parties talked about Armenian-French relations and the current productive cooperation of the two nations. The Catholicos also appraised the support of the French Government to Armenia since the country’s independence.

At the end of tthe Catholicos answered to the questions of the pilgrims. The meeting ended in the Lord’s Prayer. Then the Armenian Catholicos blessed the pilgrims.
