DRIVERS SHOULD FASTEN SEAT BELTS

“Armenian drivers should fasten seat belts, otherwise, they will be fined.” This is stipulated by a law which has been in force since February.

Nevertheless, drivers they keep on unfastening seat belts.

We conducted polling among Armenian drivers to find out what factors their ignorance is conditioned by. Most of them turned out to be unaware of the acting law.

“Who says the law has already been put in effect? Look around. Can you see anyone with a seat belt?” Gegham said.

“Seat belts are compulsory in the USA. I got used to them and fastened them in Armenia for some time. My friends and passers-by made fun of me and I stopped fastening seat belts”

74-year-old Mayis noted, “Law breakers will continue their actions and accidents will happen despite the law.”

The RoA police will make a report on the breakers and the levied sum at the end of May after summing up the data.
