NO BEGGARS IN ARMENIA
Support A1+!Besides political actors ordinary citizens also assess the passing year. “A1+” tried to find out how our citizens assessed the passing year, what expectations they had from the coming year which would begin with the presidential elections and what they would do if they were the Santa Claus.
“I can say that the passing year did not give anything to my family. We work day and night and hardly make both ends meet”, said Hayk Manucharyan. Majority of respondents mentioned that nothing positive took place in their lives during the passing year and the only achievement was that their children entered universities.
“They treat us cruelly; they levy money for everything, except for air. The Armenian nation is perishing, the only way to avoid it to leave this country”, said Mane Khlghatyan. She does not have any expectations from the upcoming presidential elections and considers that “the authorities will choose the president, not the nation”.
Edward Khalatyan is an optimist and is convinced that the nation’s candidate should be elected and the situation will improve.
The participants of the polling also note that they do not anticipate great changes in the coming year. “We can see beggars everywhere, number of robbery has increased, people sell their properties to survive”, said some participants.
Ashot Sargsyan noted that he had sold his golden jewelry to be able to do New Year expenditures. If our citizens were the Santa Claus, they would establish such circumstances that no beggars lived in the streets, they would provide everyone with jobs so that no one left his home and even those who were abroad returned, believing that they would have a better life in Armenia.
