Social

“Wherever you go, you come across Serge’s posters. We are fed up with it”, told 67-year-old Sonya, seeing Serge Sargsyan’s posters in the “Republican Square” metro station.

”We cannot get rid of Serge. We understand that he is the Prime Minister and wants to become the President, but we are not obliged to see his face everywhere”, talked the pensioner to the candidate’s posters in the station, annoyed by the prices of some food. “Yes, you raised our pension but you did not improve our situation. You raised the prices on flour and oil”. Another man also complained of the number of posters coming out of the station. “You enter the metro and see the same face everywhere. I have nothing against Serge Sargsyan but it is not pleasant for me to see his face everywhere”. 22-year-old Anahit told “A1+” that though she liked Serge Sargsyan as a political actor, but the abundance of posters negatively influenced on people. “This is more an anti-advocating. You loose your interests towards the candidate seeing his face everywhere”, says Anahit. 54-ear-old Asatur protected the presidential candidate noting that he was the candidate to win. “That is a good strategy. The potential candidate should work properly, everyone will vote for him”.

In the interview with “A1+” Hrayr Tovmasyan, candidate of juridical sciences and an expert of electoral right pointed out that a candidate who was known by the public did not need many posters. “The international experience shows that those candidates who have the problem with recognition use posters as a source. Only Arman Melikyan needs posters in Armenia. I do not understand the number of Serge Sargsyan’s posters. This is one of the ways to get acquainted with the pre-election program of a candidate”, said Hrayr Tovmasyan.
