EC DECISION SIGNALS TO GRANT A1+ LICENCE

“We call on the Armenian leadership to take the EC decision regarding A1+ Company as a signal to grant the TV Company a broadcasting licence,” said Nina Oganova, Coordinator of the Journalists’ Protection Committee on European and Central Asian Issues.

After granting A1+ a licence President Serzh Sarkissian will prove his devotion to free mass media in Armenia, added Nina Oganova.

To remind, the Company’s closure a rough breach of freedom of speech. A1+ has been off the air since April 2, 2002.
