Movses Karapetyan, in the 74 kg group, beat the representative of Azerbaijan in the first phase, then beat the representatives of Israel, Sweden, Germany, and reached the final. Here he beat Velin Malinov representing Bulgaria and became champion of Europe.
In the 55 kg group Roman Amoyan, beating 4 wrestlers, reached the final where he lost the fight to Russian Viktor Korablyov and won silver medals.
