ARONYAN AND OTHERS IN THE RUSSIAN CHAMPIONSHIP
Support A1+!Armenian chess players participate in the Russian chess club championship held in Sochi. Our strongest Grand Master Levon Aronyan, as well as Vladimir Hakobyan, Karen Asryan and Smbat Laputyan are among them. Aronyan is considered to be the leader of the team “Tomsk - 400.” Lilit Mkrtchyan and Naira Movsisyan participate in the women tournament.
“Tomsk - 400” won “Lada” in the 5th round with the overalls 4.5:1.5, and Aronyan brought points for his team just in the first round. At present “Tomsk - 400” occupies the 2nd place; “Ural” is leading with one point.
By the way, Russian Youth club championship is also being held in Sochi. The Armenian Chess Academy team and “Mika” participate in it. The latter displays an excellent participation. The fixture table is topped by the club chess players with 8 points. The Chess Academy has 7 points and claims on the leading places.
