GEVORG DAVTYAN – CHAMPION OF EUROPE
Support A1+!23-year-old Armenian weight-lifter Gevorg Davtyan became champion of Europe in the 77 kg weight category. His best index was 165 kg which was the best among all the sportsmen. His result by double-event was 360kg. He not only exceeded Vladislav Lukanin who took the second place by 8 kg but also established a new personal best.
This was the third medal of Armenia in the European championship. Before this Arsen Tamrazyan and Hripsime Khurshoudyan had won bronze medals.
